Dr. Bürklin-Wolf – Riesling Pechstein – 2013
Dr. Burklin Wolf has a solid tradition dating back to 1597, today boasts 85 hectares and is considered one of the most important wineries in the country.
The vineyards are located in the northern part of the Palatinate, considered a qualitatively excellent area since Roman times, boasting the best exposures.
Since 2008 the company has been converted to biodynamic methods, their philosophy is based on territoriality or they decide to produce for each vineyard a predefined maximum quality to produce wines with a well-defined character.
Riesling is obviously the most cultivated grape and the refinements are carried out in steel or wood according to the type of wine, with the aim of always enhancing the terroir and its peculiarities.
Pechstein vineyard exposed in the “hot” area of the village of Forst, enjoys perfect insolation, its peculiarity lies in the volcanic soil that will give us a very concentrated wine, with high acidity and minerality. A riesling for true lovers of classic style. Fermentation in wooden barrels and then aging in the same for 10 months.
