Decoy – Zinfandel Sonoma Country – 2017

The Decoy project was born in 1985 from the idea of the Duckhorn winery, to produce a wine with the classic Bordeaux blend with more affordable prices on the market but with a consistently high quality, compared to the renowned Merlot and Cabernet vinified in purity. Since 2008, Decoy has evolved its style and aims to buy vineyards in the Alexander Valley in the nearby Sonoma Country, thus making the various wines alone and expanding the range of wines. Cabernet, Zinfandel, Merlot, Pinot Noire, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc are produced.
Their Zinfandel is a full and persuasive wine, with soft tannins on the palate, and on the nose aromas of currant and plum and tobacco. A very fun and pleasant wine that will impress you with its roundness and its great drink!
