Chiara Boschis – Langhe Nebbiolo – 2018
Historic winery of Barolo, founded in 1890 by Luigi Pira, where he played a key role in the growth of the company. Super traditionalist to the point that he fought mechanization by continuing to make the pressing with the feet.
Since 1980 the winery has been run by Chiara Boschis, one of the first women producers of Barolo, one of the members of the Barolo Boys, she brought a breath of innovation in the cellar by introducing small woods and vinifying the grapes coming from each cru separately, in order to better exalt the single organoleptic characteristics.
The philosophy has remained unchanged over the years, that is the utmost respect for the work in the vineyard until obtaining the organic certification.
The production is very limited, about 40,000 bottles.
From the youngest plants in the best cru of the Barolo area is produced the Langhe Nebbiolo, a red wine of character, balanced that best expresses the characteristics of the territory from which it comes.
