Cesare Bussolo – Barolo Fossati – 2017
The work is obviously always of high quality following the style of the master Roberto Voerzio, harvesting less than 1 kilo of grapes per plant. This wine is aged for 24 months in barrique and tonneaux, plus two years of bottle aging. Only 1400 bottles produced. A true masterpiece of wine! One of the most interesting discoveries of Langa.
Only 1650 bottles were produced in 2017. This vintage was a bit more complicated because of the dry season, but Cesare, like all great producers, was able to interpret the year very well. He has worked hard in the vineyard, selecting the best grapes and trying to bring home the cleanest and most ripe grapes at the right point. The results are excellent, in the mouth despite the hot year, however, prevails an intense acidity. Young to drink now…absolutely to keep.

Description
Cesare Bussolo, a young producer, after graduating from the Enological School of Alba, began his career under the wing of the great Roberto Voerzio, where he still works.
He follows the same philosophy of his teacher, maximum care in the vineyard and absolute respect for the environment, very low yields, more than 8000 vines per hectare and little interventionism in the vineyard.
In 2013, from a vineyard with extraordinary potential, he produces his first Barbera Santa Lucia…but with the years he finally fulfills his dream of producing Barolo!
