Cascina Roccalini – Langhe Nebbiolo – 2021
His Langhe Nebbiolo is produced from the youngest plants of the cru Roccalini in less than 5000 bottles. Aged only in cement tanks, but despite this, it is a great Nebbiolo, long tannins and persistence. Its sweet scents will deceive you, because in the mouth it has all the power of a small Barbaresco. Not to be underestimated.

Description
Cascina Roccalini represents the REAL winery of Langa. Managed by Paolo Veglio, a true vigneron of old times, he cultivates with passion for his land the 5 hectares of the family vineyard since he was a child, but only since 2004 he releases his own label. The vineyards are all located in the cru Roccalini (where the winery takes its name) one of the most renowned and qualitative nebbiolo vineyards in Barbaresco, with a perfect south-west exposure and clayey soils. In fact, this vineyard was noticed for the quality of its grapes by the legendary Bruno Giacosa, so much so that Paolo Veglio’s father rented the plot until 2004.
Paolo’s style is simple, low yields, zero use of chemicals, long submerged cap fermentations in cement tanks and aging in large barrels.
His wines are majestic, clean, structured but refined and have become a symbol for the wines of the Langhe.
