Cascina Baricchi – Vino Bianco ChèChà – 2016
Natale Simonetta, owner of Cascina Baricchi, loves his land and his job and he likes experimenting and putting himself in the game…his wines fully reflect his determination.
Cascina Baricchi is located under the town of Neviglie, few kilometers away from the Barbaresco area and it was born thanks to the purchase in the 70’s as a vacation home by Giovanni Simonetta, father of the current owner. Initially, wine was produced only for domestic use, but in the 1980s the first labels arrived on the market.
Natale mainly produces Barbaresco, Nebbiolo, Dolcetto…but there are also international grapes such as Pinot Noir or Syrah. Besides the classic single grape wines from Piedmont, Natale produces blended wines and above all it produces excellent sparkling wines with a long permanence on yeasts.
ChèChà white wine is one of the new projects created by Natale. It is produced with the blend of two French grapes: Chenin Blanc (autochthonous of Loire region) and Chardonnay. The wine remains on its fine lees for 30 months. The result is amazing, nutty and aromatic notes, great acidity and freshness!
