Cascina Alberta – Barbaresco Giacone – 2019
The Barbaresco Giacone comes from the homonymous cru from 40-year-old plants. The soils in this area are slightly more calcareous, thus giving life to more tannic and dry nebbioli, always maintaining that note of sweetness typical of a Barbaresco. The wine ages for one year in large oak barrels and for two years in the bottle. A nice wine! Pleasant but full of character!

Description
Cascina Alberta is an innovative project born in 2010 by two brothers in Treiso in the Barbaresco area, with the aim of reviving some old realities by purchasing some old farmhouses and pieces of vineyard in the Giacone sub-area. This is a farm from all points of view! In fact, 19 hectares are cultivated, including 7 in vineyards but the remaining in orchards or vegetables. The love for tradition and for the land of these young people has led them to work the land in a clean and respectful way so as to have organic certification. Even in the cellar the same philosophy is married, and for refinements large barrels are preferred for a short period, precisely in order not to alter the characteristics of the wine.
