Cantina del Pino – Barbaresco Gallina – 2016

The Cantina del Pino is one of the oldest estates in the Barbaresco area, the pine from which the company takes its name, was planted by the great agronomist and undisputed father of the Barbaresco Domizio Cavazza, he sells the company to the Vacca family winegrowers from several generations. 1997 the company officially begins to bottle and sell the first wines, today the company owns 7 hectares, most of which in the Ovello cru.
Few bottles produced, quality not quantity, this has always been the philosophy of the company, maximum respect for the rhythms of the earth to obtain wines that fully reflect the terroir. Study and meticulous work are part of everyday life to obtain wines of great impact that offer a modern but at the same time traditional interpretation of a territory that has always been home to great wines.
Gallina is the best known cru in the municipality of Neive, thanks to the excellent quality of the land and the exposures, the wines obtained are of surprising finesse. Only in the best years does Cantina del Pino produce very few bottles with this mention, a super representative, fragrant, spicy Barbaresco and in the mouth the tannins are sensual and enveloping. A bottle that you will not forget for a long time!
