Bruno Rocca – Barbaresco Coparossa – 1998
The Rocca family, present in the municipality of Barbaresco since 1834, is among the first producers of Barbaresco thanks to the foresight of grandfather Francesco who in the 1950s decided to buy the famous cru Rabaja.
With the entry into the company of his son Bruno, the quality of the wines produced rises, thanks also to the purchase of the best Crus in the area and after years of study and various trips to Burgundy he decides to focus everything on territoriality, producing elegant wines with a strong character. .
Today the company owns 14 hectares which include the prestigious Rabaja and Currà crus for an annual production of 75,000 bottles.
The “Coparossa” comes from the historic vineyards of the Pajorè cru of Treiso and Fausoni cru of Neive, where thanks to a perfect combination of soils, altitudes and exposures, the wines are perfectly structured but elegant at the same time, with well-defined and silky tannins.
The last vintage produced was 2013.
