Bruno Rocca – Barbaresco – 2017
he Rocca family, present in the municipality of Barbaresco since 1834, is among the first producers of Barbaresco thanks to the foresight of grandfather Francesco who in the 1950s decided to buy the famous cru Rabaja.
With the entry into the company of his son Bruno, the quality of the wines produced rises, thanks also to the purchase of the best Crus in the area and after years of study and various trips to Burgundy he decides to focus everything on territoriality, producing elegant wines with a strong character. .
Today the company owns 14 hectares which include the prestigious Rabaja and Currà crus for an annual production of 75,000 bottles.
In this wine the Rocca family manages to express its true love for the Nebbiolo grape, in fact for this Barbaresco the bunches are selected from the best vineyards in the municipalities of Neive and Barbaresco, a wine that will surprise you for its bouquet, for its complexity and completeness. An extraordinarily expressive and territorial wine, perfect to drink now but with great aging potential. 2017 a slightly warm year, low yields but of good quality. The wines are rich, enjoyable and already excellent to drink now.
