Description

If we talk about Bruno Giacosa winery, we are talking about one of the highest realities for qualitative excellence in Langa, so much as to be the worldwide standard bearer of Barbaresco and Barolo wines. The story of Bruno was born in Neive after the second world war, thanks to his passion for wine passed on by his family. He started making wine from bought grapes but from the most beautiful vineyards, the ones with the best exposure, he was the first in Langa to understand the importance of the exposition of vineyards and to choose the best cru for the vinification of wines. As a grape selector, in the 1980’s he bought the Falletto vineyard in Serralunga d’Alba, thus starting the production of the famous Barolo, and subsequently the Asili vineyard in Barbaresco, known for giving Nebbiolo wines an unparalleled elegance and refinement.
The style of the winery has always been rather traditional, using only large barrels for aging…but his wines are so famous all over the world for that stamp of finesse and elegance, especially for the nebbiolo grape, but without forgetting the great structure, which keeps the wine alive. His are harmonious wines so sensual…but with a great aging potential. From the simplest wines to the great wines, drinking a Bruno Giacosa is always a guarantee!
