Bruno Giacosa – Roero Arneis – 2019

If we talk about the Bruno Giacosa winery, we cite one of the highest realities for qualitative excellence in the Langa, so much so that it is the worldwide standard-bearer of Barbaresco and Barolo wines. Bruno’s story was born in Neive after the Second World War, thanks to his passion for wine passed on by his family. He began to vinify grapes bought but from the most beautiful plots, precisely the best exposed ones, he was the first in the Langa to understand the importance of the vineyard exposures and to choose the best crus for wine making. As a grape selector, in the 1980s he bought the Falletto vineyard in Serralunga d’Alba, thus starting the production of the famous Barolo, and subsequently the Asili vineyard in Barbaresco, known for giving the Nebbioli an incomparable refinement and elegance.
The style of the cellar has always been rather traditional, using only large barrels for refinements … but its wines are so famous all over the world for that stamp of elegance, especially for the Nebbiolo grape, but without forgetting the great structure , which keeps the wine alive.
