Bruna Grimaldi – Barolo Badarina – 2015 (Copia)

Bruna Grimaldi winery was established in 1957, but only thanks to the precious contribution of Giovanni Grimaldi, in the ’60s they started producing wine and selling it in bulk. Among the first ones to focus on the quality of wine, Giovanni decides from the beginning to work in respect of vineyards and wine. Years pass by but the ethics of the winery does not change, in the vineyard there is a lot of manual work and no chemical weeding is practiced, yields per hectare are very low in order to exalt the quality of grapes to the maximum.
Today the winery is run by Bruna Grimaldi, enologist and woman of wine, together with her husband Franco and her children Simone and Martina. A purely family reality!
The Barolo “Badarina” coming from the homonymous cru located in the commune of Serralunga d’Alba, is the historical vineyard of the family, already owned by Bruna’s mother of some hectares.
Soils in this area are rich in layers of limestone and clay, therefore giving bony and tannic wines. In this Barolo, processed and aged in a traditional way, you will find a wine rich in aromas, also thanks to Bruna’s feminine touch, but with great structure and agreeability at the same time!
