Barale – Barolo Bussia – 2001

Barale winery is located just in the historical center of Barolo, it has very solid roots, it was established in 1870, and in those years it contributed to the birth of Barolo wine together with Marchesa Falletti and Camillo Benso Count of Cavour.
Nowadays it is always the same family to manage the small artisanal winery, where the philosophy has remained unchanged, just with the purpose of producing wines with a traditional style, respecting every vine and soil, in order not to alter the characteristics of the wine.
Vineyards are mainly located between the commune of Barolo and Monforte d’Alba, where they cultivate, besides the majestic Nebbiolo da Barolo, also Barbera, Nebbiolo, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Moreover, the winery cares so much about the territory, the vineyards and the cleanliness that it is certified for organic farming.
Bussia is not only the most renowned cru of Monforte d’Alba but it is also one of the real and proper icons of the whole appellation capable of making fans from all over the world dream. Barale winery owns vineyards located in Bussia Soprana, the wines coming from this area are characterized by discrete aromas, austerity and impressive structure. Ideal pedoclimatic conditions and very low production yields characterize this wine which represents a homage of Sergio to the territory. 2001 exceptional vintage, it presents itself with extraordinary strength and generosity. The very complex bouquet is rich in sensations reminiscent of wilted rose, underbrush and vanilla. In the mouth it shows warmth, strength and great balance. It surprises for its harmony and remarkable aromatic persistence. great potential for longevity.

Aging: in French oak barrels of medium capacity (15-30 hl) for 3 years with a minimum of necessary racking. Elevation in demijohns for the Riserva selection. It does not undergo any kind of chemical-physical clarification and stabilization before bottling.
