Albamar – Albariño – 2019
We are in Galicia, north-west of Spain, we are on the Ocean, granite soils, sandy soils rich in organic matter and medium acidity, all this is Rias Baixas, resulting in wines of good complexity, smooth but also fresh with a Mediterranean profile, mineral and salty.
Bodega Albamar is a young and dynamic winery which is making a name for itself at international level thanks to its typical and territorial wines. The vines are very old and still cultivated following an organic system.
The winery mainly cultivates the autochthonous Albariño grape with vineyards in front of the ocean, even going so far as to wet the vines with the high tide giving briny and very fresh notes to the wines. Their Albariño is aged on lees for 8 months in steel tanks and wooden casks, it is a very funny wine, out of the box, but its cleanliness and technique will impress you. Wine of the Sea.
