Francesco Rinaldi e Figli – Barolo Brunate – 2020

Their Barolo Brunate, comes from one of the most important vineyards for location and quality of Nebbiolo. Located between the commune of La Morra and Barolo, despite the soils rich in white marl, it is considered one of the vineyards with the most character in the upper part of the Barolo area. In this case, the winery does not even own 2 hectares of vines, with 40-year-old plants. The result is a great wine, delicate, herbaceous, crisp, characterful, yet elegant. A wine to absolutely keep over time.

Description

There are still some wineries in Langa where time seems to have stopped at the last century, where you can still breathe that genuineness and traditionality where wines are always produced with the same humility and passion. The Francesco Rinaldi e Figli winery represents all this in my opinion, established in 1870 in the historic farmstead located on the hilltop of the Cannubi vineyard, it has always specialized in the production of typical Piedmontese red wines such as Barolo, Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto, still partly vinified in cement tanks and aged in huge oak barrels. The winery manages 11 hectares located among the best Barolo parcels, such as Cannubi, Brunate, Rocche dell’Annunziata, Vignane, Sarmassa and Codana.
