Description

Tramin is one of the most respected and high-quality cooperatives in South Tyrol. Located in Tramin, it was founded in 1861 by Pastor Christian Schrott as a small agricultural project to support the economy of his fellow villagers. Today, 160 families bring their grapes to the cooperative. The top wine of the winery is Gewurztraminer, an aromatic grape always present in the valleys of Alto Adige and where, thanks to the marvelous alpine-mediterranean micro climate, it is able to give wines with very sweet and fruity aromas, but in the mouth it is rather dry and rich in acidity. The winery is mainly famous for its Epokale wine, the highest expression of Gewurztraminer, so much as to be rated 100 points by Parker and symbol wine of Italy. Wines of Tramin winery, both whites and reds, are an absolute guarantee, where precision and quality are the key points.
