Claudio Alario – Barolo Sorano – 2015

The winery was founded in 1900 in Diano d’Alba, the Alario family has been dedicated to the care and cultivation of the vine for three generations, before the grapes were exclusively intended for sale but the real turning point came in 1988 with the entry into Claudio’s company that will contribute to the enhancement of the vineyards and will immediately begin to bottle Dolcetto, a vine that represents the historical identity of the winery that only later over the years will go on to vinify Barbera and Nebbiolo. The yields in the vineyard are low in order to guarantee quality to their wines, innovation and tradition are characteristics that we find in their wines.
Sorano vineyard that is spread over two municipalities, Serralunga d’Alba and Diano d’Alba, where we find excellent exposures that give the wines a good structure, the Barolo di Alario perfectly reflects these characteristics, an intense and complex wine that gives us a finish long and persistent. A bottle for special occasions.
