Ceretto – Barbaresco Asili – 2013
The Ceretto family has represented the Langhe territory since 1800, Bruno and Marcello, sons of the founder Riccardo, are the pioneers of a great project focused on revolution and innovation without ever abandoning their roots and trying to make the potential of the territory known worldwide. .
They are among the first in the Langhe to believe in the concept of “cru” and select the vineyards in the historically most suitable positions and in 1986 they are defined as the “Barolo Brothers” by the famous magazine Wine Spectator.
Today the children Lisa, Roberta, Alessandro and Federico have taken over the company and the hectares owned have become 160 and since 2015 the winery has obtained organic certification.
Bricco Asili was the first winery built by Marcello and Bruno Ceretto in 1973, inspired by the model of French chateaux and thus vinifying the grapes in the place of origin.
Asili, one of the most prestigious mentions, has always given us wines of great elegance, not too complex tannins and a very delicate fruit, in short, a Barbaresco that plays on finesse. From this important cru, in a vineyard of about one hectare at an altitude of 290 meters cultivated in biodynamic agriculture, the Ceretto family produces an extremely territorial wine, a champion of elegance and gracefulness, where complexity and finesse are in perfect harmony .
The 2013, despite the difficult climatic trend, the Nebbiolo was able to take great advantages from the end of the season with high temperatures, giving us wines that are perfect for aging and with an excellent structure.
