Elio Grasso – Barolo Riserva Runcot – 2008

Elio Grasso is a true Langhe-peasant, the countryside flows in his blood and manages to convey his true passion in wines.
The company owns 18 hectares of vineyards in an area that has always been considered a high vocation, the cellar is largely excavated inside the hill and guarantees ideal conditions of temperature and humidity for the winemaking and maturation of the wines.
The choice was to vinify and bottle the grapes; coming from different vineyards, separately precisely to convey the true territoriality.Gavarini is one of the most recognizable vineyards in the whole Langa, thanks to its amphitheater shape and the regular geometry of the rows. Inside we find the Runcot sub-area, which corresponds to the four plots at the foot of the Elio Grasso cellar, which is vinified in purity only in the best vintages, a powerful and sensual wine, with thick tannins and a long finish. A stratospheric wine!
