Giovanni Manzone – Barolo Bricat – 2008
The Manzone family has been making their wines since 1925, all the vineyards are owned and positioned in first class areas in the municipality of Monforte. The Barolos are the result of maniacal and uncompromising work in the vineyards and long aging in large barrels. The BRICAT is the oldest part of the cru Gramolere, about 60 years old, is bottled after 40 months in big barrels and 30/40 days of maceration contact with the skins. A complex and elegant Barolo at the same time. Tannins that envelop the palate with hints of red fruits and chocolate. Perfect vintage for a wine that begins to reveal itself greatness.
