It was founded by Valentino Migliorini, who arrived in the Langa in the 1970s and purchased a farmhouse in Monforte d\u2019Alba, right in the heart of the Barolo production area. He was a rather innovative figure; he was the first to produce classic method sparkling wines using the same grapes as Champagne in a land of reds and Nebbiolo, and he was the first to bring in and use French barriques for aging the wines. Over the years, he managed to cultivate 50 hectares, all located in the municipality of Monforte and divided among the best vineyards with the best exposures.<br \/>\nFrom celebrated sparkling wines like the Riserva Elena and the Brut Zero to Barolos that are so full-bodied and smooth, the wines of the Rocche dei Manzoni winery have contributed to the renaissance of Langhe wines, particularly in terms of quality.   <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One of Italy\u2019s most iconic sparkling wines is Valentino Brut Zero.
