The winery was founded in 1870 in what is now Cascina Vallegrande in the commune of Treiso by Giuseppe Grasso,and nowadays the company is run by his great-granddaughters.<br \/>\nToday the family cultivates 28 hectares of vineyards listed among the most prestigious for their history and location just like Asili, Pora and Marcarini divided between the municipalities of Barbaresco and Treiso.In addition to the renowned Nebbiolo and typical Piedmontese vines, space has been given to the cultivation of a few international varieties such as Riesling and Chardonnay. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The \u201cAsili\u201d vineyard sums up the true essence of the Barbaresco appellation, with its class and structure, giving wines of extreme elegance but capable of aging for more than 30 years. Located in the municipality of Barbaresco, it enjoys excellent southern exposure and soils rich in sand and limestone, giving the nebbiolos unparalleled finesse and elegance.
