With great foresight, the family undertook work to restore the vineyards and new premises for winery use, arriving in 1980 to bottle the first Etna Rosso. The style of the winery is to produce clean, territorial wines respecting the soils with the different layers of lava, but above all the plants aiming at biodynamic agriculture. In addition, Murgo was the first winery to develop a classic method sparkling Etnean wine with native grapes such as Nerello Mascalese. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thanks to a good temperature range due to the considerable altitude of the Etna volcano and the Nerello Mascalese vines located at 500 meters there is the perfect condition to produce sparkling wines with great structure. In this case, after alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature for 14 days, the wine is aged in steel tanks for 8 months, after which it undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle for 2 years.
