Since 1967 the estate is owned by princess Coralia Ghertsos in Pignatelli della Leonessa, where she manages almost 300 hectares, of which 54 are vineyards and 32 are olive groves and the remaining is woodland. The style of the winery while keeping an eye on tradition, was one of the first ones to use barriques and steel tanks at controlled temperature. There are no compromises, it mainly produces Sangiovese grapes for Chianti Classico, except for Supertuscan where it is blended with Cabernet Sauvignon. Low yields, long maceration on skins accompanied by important ageing of even 4-5 years before the wines are sold. Wines without fashion or time, but with a power and persuasiveness without comparison.
