In the 80s Josko Gravner started working in the cellar practicing a traditional viticulture but he was not satisfied with this type of work and after some trips to the Caucasus, from the 90s he decided to get rid of all the technology purchased and work in a decidedly unconventional way , creating a unique and unmistakable style. In the 15 hectares of vineyards, the work carried out is nothing short of maniacal, methods that lead back to the most ancient beliefs of the territory without the use of synthetic products, the cellar has no modern facilities, the amphorae from the Caucasus are the protagonists! Ribolla Gialla is the most important grape in Brda and definitely also for Josko Gravner, the wine produced with this grape is the most important and representative of the company, a wine that has become a legend thanks to a decidedly original style. “I take what nature gives me” this is Josko's philosophy, in fact his Ribolla refines in amphora without controlling the temperature and sugar content following the rhythms of nature and the phases of the moon. A white that looks more like a red, long macerations, deep aromatic profile, great persistence, in short, poetry in the glass! Producer: Gravner Name: Ribolla Grape Variety: 100% Ribolla Gialla Vintage: 2010 Alcohol Content: 14% Bottle Size: 750ml Productive Notes: Fermentation with long maceration in underground Georgian amphorae, with indigenous yeasts and without temperature control. After racking and pressing, it is returned to the amphora for at least another 5 months before starting the aging in large oak barrels, where it remained for 6 years.
</oembed>
