The wine is still made in the "old way", made very low by old vines and by careful work in the vineyard, mainly large barrels and maximum respect for aging times, the wines only come out on the market when they are ready. Their vineyards are located between the municipalities of Castiglione Falletto and Serralunga d'Alba, two countries so close, but completely different for the type of soil: in the first it is rich in sands that give finesse and aromas to the wine, the second has limestone and blue marl which gives harder and tannic wines. Precisely in this Barolo Classico there is this peculiarity of the two soils, giving a unique wine, rich in fruit and flower aromas, leaving a silky mouth but with persistent tannins. This wine expresses all its classicism and austerity, perfect to drink immediately but with great potential over time. In the 2016 vintage, one of those vintages to stock up, the Azelia winery gives us a wine of great and immediate drinkability but with an aging potential of over 20 years. Producer: Azelia Name: Barolo DOCG Grape Variety: 100% Nebbiolo Vintage: 2016 Alcohol Content: 14,5% Bottle Size: 750ml Production: 30000 bottles Productive Notes: Traditional submerged cap vinification for forty days, fermentation in steel with indigenous yeasts. Aging for two years in large barrels plus two years in the bottle.
</oembed>
