Sandrone – Nebbiolo d’Alba Valmaggiore – 2012

Luciano Sandrone is one of the most famous names when it comes to Barolo. The winery was founded in the late 1970s, with Luciano’s dream of producing territorial Barolos, but above all great wines.
The project took shape when Luciano bought a small part of the Cannubi Boschis vineyard, considered one of the best for the power and longevity it gives to the Barolos.
In a short time, Sandrone’s Barolo Bricco Boschis was recognized all over the world thanks to the scores of 97 and 100 cents given by the international journalist Robert Parker.
The production of the winery has expanded over the years, introducing a new Barolo on the market as “Le Vigne” produced precisely with the assembly of several first-class vineyards throughout the Barolo area, and the Nebbiolo Valmaggiore, dolcetto and barbera.
Today the winery has also seen the entry of Luciano’s children and grandchildren, and boasts 50 years of history, always remaining a family and small business.

Nebbiolo Valmaggiore comes from the vineyard of the same name located in the Roero area. It has always been considered the best vineyard in this region, for having a perfect southern exposure with soils rich in white sands, giving a wine of unparalleled elegance and finesse. This wine makes a small aging in tonneau and one year in bottle.
This 2012 vintage magnum is of an absurd freshness and delicacy, given by this beautiful vintage that is a little fresher.
