Giovanni Manzone – Langhe Rossese Bianco Rosserto – 2017

Small company born in 1925 with the purchase of the “Ciabot del Preve” in the famous Castelletto cru in Monforte d’Alba, from the beginning the following philosophy is to produce quality grapes at the expense of quantities.
Over the years the Manzone family has managed to purchase important vineyards in Castelletto and Gramolere cultivated according to the principles of healthy and sustainable viticulture, in fact production is limited to 50,000 bottles per year.
What surprised us most about this winery is the passion they put into their work, the love for the land and the desire to defend their origins, all of which we find in their very traditional wines.
The Rossese di Monforte, exclusive of the homonymous municipality, was saved from extinction by the Manzone family in the late 70s by planting a small vineyard, in 1982 they decided to vinify it in purity obtaining a long-lived wine, with a great structure but with a super final freshness.
